As of 01.10.2018., the Gender Alternatives Foundation will take part in a new project, funded under the Erasmus + KA2 VET program or adult education called "Be Aware– Strengthening competences to face sexual harassment on the workplace ". / Grant Agreement No. 2018-1-AT01-KA202-039286/.  It aims to increase the ability to deal with sexual harassment in the workplace. Duration of the project will be 36 months /01.09.2018 – 31.08.2021/. The main idea of ​​the project is Sexual Harrassment in Education and the Workplace.
Actual discourses in media show that not only does sexual harrassment occur in entertainment and sports, but also in the daily work within existing hierarchic structures. Especially those starting out in their careers are threatened. There are two main issues during training and employment:

     REC-AG-2017/REC-RDAP-GBV-AG-2017 (Prevent and combat gender-based violence and violence against children), granted by the European Commission, under 2017 Rights, Equality and Citizenship Work Programme , is one of the newest project in which GAF will take part together with six more organizations in Bulgaria.     The coalition, led by BFW, engaging 10 grantee-partners from 7 different cities, supported by the Club Z media, consists of 3 types of CSOs: women/gender/lgbt+, youth and media organizations.  This coalition will address the challenges related to the shrinking safe space for the civil society. We will develop a strategic communications campaign that will raise awareness on the organized attack against the Istanbul convention and the human rights CSOs, which will be implemented on a national level via online and offline activities. The campaign has 3 aims: 1) tackle the negative image of the civil sector; 2) address the hate speech and the threats CSO representatives are subjected to; 3) expose the anti-European attackers of the convention, of the human rights defenders and of the whole civil sector.

     At the beginning of July 2018, part of the Gender Alternatives Foundation team presented to a group of two experts and two women survivors of sexual violence, the two parts of the developed online game for young people under the CONVEY project - Counteracting Sexual Abuse and Harassment: Attracting Youths from Schools in Digital Education (Ref JUST / 2015 / RDAP / AG / SEXV / 8572), co-funded by the European Union, Program for Rights, Equality and Citizenship (01.09.2016 - 28.02.2019).
