On the 12.05.2020 it was organized the second partnership meeting of the project "Power Up - Empowering and Upskilling women with a migrant background to foster their social and labour inclusion” (2019-1-BG01-KA204-062546). The initiative is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Due to the emergency situation related with the COVID-19, the meeting was held online. The partnership consortium consists of four EU organizations – Gender Alternatives Foundation (BG), Solidaridad sin Fronteras (ES), Mindshift (PT) and Matertera (CZ).
The partners met to review the progress made under their common goal to turn the Power Up Project into a sustainable product. The activities strive to enhance the key social and entrepreneurial competences of migrant women to promote their social and financial independence and their participation in social and civic life. At the same time, the partnership prepares to equip professionals and volunteers with practical knowledge and innovative techniques to deliver an empowerment and competency-based intervention. In particular, the development of Power Up E-learning Hub and Handbook of Innovative Techniques for professionals were the major topics of the meeting by presentations of their structure, practical implementation and timeline. In September 2020, professionals from the partner organizations will meet in Prague (CZ) to test and validate the Intellectual Outputs before bringing that knowledge and skills to local grounds and direct work with migrant women and professionals.
